Before it was a lot harder to see if one had recently spawned, but the admins have recently added stages on the sidebar indicated how much time there is till it spawns. The stages are: Slain (9-10 min till spawn) Dormant (6-9 min till spawn) Soon (3-6 min till spawn) Awakening (1-3 min till spawn) Imminent (<1 min till spawn)Smasher – Slows the enemy’s attack speed for 10 seconds. I cant understand why people talk too much about the sloth. Not my experience, half-decent "sloths" ( 10 k hp - 350 % melee base ) + 60 armor saddles rush through broodmother without loosing much health. Thus they heal much faster then Rexes with 20 k+ hp and can be filled with berries - have a bronto near swamp and its a thing of few minutes.

I have just started breeding of theris their base stats around 5.7k hp and 350 meele and i also have 194 asc saddle BP but its way too expensive. Trust me man, you gotta grind out those saddles if possible. I know it sounds like a pain, but those saddles are as good as gold. As for typical draggy theris, 25k health, 1500 melee.
